Meagan Culkin
"It has always been really important for our company to meet clients where they are at in the planning process, and to create an event centered around their unique personalities and style. I have always been very passionate about a collaborative approach when it comes to bringing an event day to life, and I am so excited for the opportunity to bring so many friends and colleagues into one shared space for this workshop, so that we will all have the opportunity to learn from one another and continue to grow and “bloom”."

Yes, You!
Did you start your planning business with the DIY bride in mind, but have always wanted to learn how to execute a 300 person ballroom reception, and don't know who to ask? Are you a 'light and airy' photographer who got an inquiry for a South-Asian wedding and are afraid of 'messing up' so you turned the client away? We want to help.
Whether you are wanting to rebrand or are simply interested in widening the scope of what you offer, we want everyone to have the opportunity to learn and grow in an intentional way. Elevating our industry as a whole and to allowing us to move forward stronger than before.

Meagan began her first business, Sweet Creations over 14 years ago. Harnessing her background in catering and baking, she launched the online bakery while still in college. After graduation, she was hired as a baker and soon became Catering Manager for Barton College. Assisting in student activities and events further fueled her passion for executing events.
Magnolia Grove Weddings was launched in 2010, and in 2015 her part-time side hustle turned into her full time gig. In late 2020 Magnolia Grove Weddings rebranded as Magnolia Collective Events and has grown to a team of 13, serving North Carolina and Virginia and has won 'Best of The Knot' and Wedding Wire's Couples Choice awards annually since 2018. When she’s not baking, designing weddings, or answering emails, Meagan can be found cuddling her dogs, visiting local breweries, and honestly — probably taking a nap.
